What Will Happen to Government Services in a Disaster?
One of the most important concerns any family has is of the health of their family, friends, and neighbors. But in a crisis of economic collapse, persistent unemployment, a decline in government welfare, and rising health care costs, it may be necessary for homeowners to survive on their own with a lower standard of medical services.
As everyone witnessed with the Hurricane Katrina crisis in New Orleans, government welfare programs, in the event of an emergency, will more than slow down. Even worse, people already receiving government assistance will claim the resources in a few hours and then the bureaucrats in the region of the disaster will protect their own friends and family long before they offer help to the average person.
It is these kinds of collapses that most people are just not ready for, whether in terms of having extra generic medications at home or some extra bandages in case there is an accident. With the trend in the nation of government taking over more and more services and economic sectors everyday, people relying fully on these services will be truly out of luck if they cease to exist because of economic or natural crises.
